Like Radcom's range of Data loggers, Radcom offer a range of battery powered controllers which also have been designed to give a 5 year battery life:
- Flow Modulation PRV Control
Radcom's Pegasus PRV controllers can be setup for either Time based control as above, or for Full Flow Modulation control to provide leakage savings during the day and night. Radcom's Pegasus PRV controllers offer Full Flow Modulation and can ensure that an adequate output pressure is maintained throughout the 24 hour period, without supply excessive pressure (which would result in excessive leakage).
- Time Based PRV Control
All of Radcom's PRV controllers provide "Time based" control. Thereby are capable of being set-up to reduce pressure during low demand periods at night. A flow input on all PRV controllers enable them to be used as data loggers as well as PRV controllers. This flow input can also be set-up by the installer (if required) to automatically increase the pressure at night when a high demand is sensed, ie resulting from operation from a Fire Hydrant.
- Control of Electrical Apparartus
Derivatives of Radcom PRV controllers are available with electrical relay output(s) to enable other electrical equipment such as motors and pumps etc to be controlled remotely.
- Combination meter controller
A Radcom controller can be used to switch the flow between two different sized flow meters which are connected in parallel with each other, to ensure that the correct meter is used according to the actual flow demand at that time.
- Water Tower controller
Radcom's battery powered "HydroSwitch" can be used to control the filling of a Water tower, where frost could result in a thin control pipe from becoming blocked causing malfunction, thereby preventing the water tower from being refilled.
