* Low capacity range - A4140 forged steel (pins machined from AQ E4340 steel)
* Med/High capacity ranges - Skookum Gold
* Standard or Crosby G-2140 Grade B alloy steel
* (Med capacity pins from AQ E4340 steel)
Heat treatment:
* Pressure bar-HRC 36-40
* Low capacity shackles-HRC 34-40
* Low/Med capacity shackle pins-HRC 46-50
Proof load:
* 150% proof load applied to pressure bar after machining and prior to nondestructive testing.
